![]() ![]() By default they creat the vobs in the video_ts folder and split them into 1gig chunks (for people still using the older file system). I'd like to know more, before I spend a few hundred bucks just to try something out. So I'm hoping someone here can help me understand what you are doing, because while I get some of how this works. Ok, I don't own a MAC yet, and am playing with MCE, but might switch to a mini-mac. Guess what? You're done! Take a look in your DVD alias folder: the movie alias is there, the original is in your TS_Video folder, and any other copies have been moved to the trash. Select your TS_Video folder for your DVD. Next, you will be asked where to save it. Enter the name of the movie as you want it to appear in Front Row in the bottom line and leave the top one alone (it should say temp). After a few seconds, you will be asked to rename the file. ![]() Right-click on it and select Automator/DVD Cover. Now, download the album art you want to use to the DVD covers folder ( or Google images is a good place to look). When you are done, select save as plug-in and choose Finder. Save the Alias files here: (Select your DVDs folder that is linked to your Alias that is in your Movies folder to work with DVD Assist. ![]() Link to the previous step and leave blank: the file will be passed automatically Options: Show Action when run is checked and To is checked Options: Show Action When Run is checked. Find: (enter the word temp) Ignore Case is checked. Make sure this action is NOT connected to the previous step Click the + button and select your temp folder Slide duration: 30 seconds (keeps the file size small). Where: (in your "DVD covers"/"temp" folder you created) Otherwise, your image will appear stretched. If not, create a Photoshop droplet to do it for you (I'll post instructions if you really want to know how). Make sure your images are square in proportions. I put it in my "Pictures" folder since this is where I download the album art. Create a folder anywhere on your computer named "DVD covers" and inside that folder, create another folder named "temp". Download and install the "Make Alias" Automator action from Apple's website (it's free: just do a google search). As I mentioned before, you need Quicktime Pro for this to work. ![]()
